Many members of Stewarts family have an autism diagnosis so that led him to believe that any children he had would also be autistic. Right from birth he nurtured his two sons as if they were. Studying autism at post graduate level he developed his own parenting program for his two boys.
Concentrating on their self awareness, confidence and mental wellbeing for the first 10 years of their life, instead of rigid educatiinn, the boys have flourished. They both now excel at school and socially.
Having a deep, personal knowledge of autism, he believes that basic intervention, understanding, and a tailored approach to each individuals needs can have a major impact on their development.
Stewart is qualified in areas specific to autism support. He has worked as a life coach, was a member of the Scottish Children's Panel, and spent several years in India supporting the development of facilities there as well as in Nepal and Sri Lanka. He authored 2 books specifically for the Indian community.

Stress and anxiety are two of the major issues faced by autistic adults. Stewarts belief is that they are caused by the sensory processing issues that come with being autistic. Stewart works with adults to help them understand their personal sensory systems and then teaches them skills to take back control. Trained in multiple modalities, he can help reduce any issues that impede their daily lives.
Stewart does not work with young children but offers critical support to their parents that is constantly disregarded. Autistic children flourish within a loving family. Stewart helps parents get back on track so that they have the tools to create the best environment for them and their family.

Having attended many events in the past, and having been invited to talk and present at events around the world, Stewart has always left disheartened . Each event has been a mile stone in the development of autism awareness but every time failed in the simplest ways. From the basic to the extreme. Failing to make allowances for any autistic person present including the speaker, to over complicated and generalised information giving. The vast majority of the time the main speaker only having a pamphlet or an online video knowledge of autism, leading to a rigid view of a widely varied condition.
Just as each autistic person has differnt needs, organisations do to. Autism training needs to be simplified and designed for the needs for those receiving it. It shouldnt be seen as something that costs a lot of money to make adaptations for but as a benefit to a business.
Using the concept he developed in India, Stewart wants to offer organisations a training program to take advantage of the underutilised autistic demographic. The current prevalence rate of autism diagnosis makes the autistic community a currently unutilised resource as employees and customers.
